Shadow of Shiloh Maps – Indiana Historical Society Press

Shadow of Shiloh: Major General Lew Wallace in the Civil War, is a book published by IHS Press. It has been noted in a few reviews (here and here) that the maps are of exceptional quality. The book, its images, and layout were done by Stacy Simmer and the Civil War maps were designed by me! The maps were created in Illustrator, mostly with the Pen tool and a steady hand (all while using a mouse). There were several revisions throughout the month of May, when I was solely dedicated to creating these maps. My book is signed by Gail Stephens, the author, noting my craftsmanship on these maps.
